Who can participate?

The impact of IoT technology and connected devices can be seen in all walks of life, and whether IoT devices are deployed in smart homes, smart cities or healthcare, they offer the opportunity to transform people’s daily lives and deliver a positive impact.

Whether you are a solo developer or your organization is a start-up, an SME, or a large enterprise, if you have an IoT project that has social impact at its heart, we want to hear from you! Are you developing and implementing an innovative business solution using cellular connectivity to tackle the most important societal challenges of our times? Is your IoT project focusing on one of these areas?

Global Public
Health
IoT applications can be used to improve public health and patient outcomes by proactively predicting health issues and diagnosing, treating, and monitoring patients both in and out of the hospital.
Marine & Wildlife
Conservation
Wireless sensor networks, often deployed in remote and rugged areas are enabling new ways to monitor endangered wildlife in their habitat, thus ensuring their protection.
Hunger & Food
Insecurity
IoT applications enable people to produce more food, produce it faster, and ensure it arrives safely and on time. These advanced technologies equip organizations with the advantages they need to fight hunger today.
Environmental &
Corporate Sustainability
IoT has a huge impact on the environment and sustainability. Environmental IoT applications range from monitoring appliance usage in homes to controlling massive wind and solar farms across the world.
Global Human
Rights
Security and encryption found within IoT applications can enhance individual privacy. Personal data is secured and those requiring protection can make use of this technology for privacy and safety.
Social & Economic
Development
IoT technology is delivering a positive social impact, for example: monitoring and reducing air pollution, improving water conservation and feeding a hungry world.
Clean & Sustainable
Energy
IoT-enabled sensors, devices and data analytics are the enabler of the Clean Energy industry. IoT technology allows energy companies to dynamically manage assets, decrease maintenance and transmission costs, and drive efficiency in the renewable economy.
Education
IoT enabled devices provide students with better access to learning, and teachers with the ability to measure student progress in real-time. IoT monitoring technology in schools creates a safer environment for teachers and students whilst also delivering cost savings.
Improving Accessibility
IoT applications can be used to improve the lives of people living with a disability, helping them to achieve more independence and providing a safer living environment.

Any individual or organization whose IoT project has social impact at its heart. We’re looking for developers, device suppliers, device manufacturers, software vendors, hardware providers or any organization involved in the IoT ecosystem.
